Gearing up for another workshop and the temperatures are soaring into the triple digits. Since encaustic is about temperature we might have to get creative to cool those panels down. I’m making room in the freezer just in case.
For beginners, this can be a challenge. It could get soupy really fast. I’ll remind them to work some quick moves on the paper and have all panels ready to go. And, practice patience! Even when weather is average, there is a tendency to move too quickly on the surface. If the layers haven’t solidified enough one scrape can remove all layers back to the wood panel surface. Bummer.
